Abstract

Radicalism is an understanding that can damage a person's mindset in responding to something, especially for teenagers who do not have awareness of nation and state. This phenomenon creates social instability in society. One of the factors that can prevent the occurrence of radicalism is learning the knowledge in civic education. Civic education itself is very influential in fostering public awareness, especially awareness of the community, especially adolescents in the nation and state and reducing the potential for radicalism in adolescents. Through qualitative approach based on literature study, this research has the following objectives to review the influence of education on the awareness of nation and state, as well as the role of civic education in responding to radicalism cases. the role of civic education in responding to cases of radicalism among teenagers among teenagers.
